Metroid Prime is my favourite FPS. The only one I really cared for as the focus is more on the adventure, exploration and puzzle solving using first person shooting as the method to immerse in it rather than basing the entire game on it.

I make Voxel art in 16 and 32 bit styles from sprite sheets, because voxels are cool.

That's because the CoD franchise has lost its way. It started off based on historical events, like Assassin's Creed, but the difference is Assassin's Creed still uses history to base itself on, while CoD goes from past to future to present to past again in a disorderly way with a disorganized general plot. Along with other things.
Just wait ten years and CoD will be as bad as the Sonic games nowadays. By then there will be a Call of Duty movie series.

The reason for this was because the gaming community pre-Modern Warfare was getting EXTREME burnout from FPS games based on historical events, particularly WW2.
I don’t play CoD, but I just wanted to share this perspective.
As a guy who is playing call of duty I just play it for trophies (achievements) and upgrading weapons and not for fun

One Of The Most Debated Things In Video Games
Halo Infinite has some pretty solid gameplay but literally had little content in the beginning, and 343i could've done more tbh. As for Call of Duty... yeah I haven't picked up a new one in a while and I personally don't plan on it.
