That latest edition of The Tank Tribune is a big one and opens with some sad news @BlueHippo shared on the forums: @life, long-time NG regular and moderator, has passed. He will be greatly missed by his friends here. You can still dance with life forever, thanks to his role in Jive Machine:

Other than the sad news about @life, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I was working remotely for a few days this week while visiting friends in Maryland but I’m about back on track.

Getting an extension is the best way to go, normally we get longer and better submissions.

I met Life in 2010 over in Boston when he organized a small meet there. I took the Megabus over to Back Bay (now it goes over to South Station) and made my way by foot. He always saw me as a nice guy in person that loved shit. He repeated these sentiments over years. Which, for anyone else that has met me, is pretty accurate.

He was a nice guy himself and I never at any point felt bored. Now 12 years later, here we are. I will keep his number on my phone and it will bother me a bit if it gets assigned to someone else.

I have a lot of fond memories of going on walks while listening to the NGP in the background. They introduced me to a lot of really cool artists and I appreciate how much they brought the NG community together. With all of the crap that's been going on in the past few years, the NGP always gave me something positive to look forward to. With that being said, I'm really happy and excited to see what the new hosts have to offer. I'm still gonna really miss the old hosts though. I just hope that you guys are all doing alright.
