I want to make my own Point and Click adventure game. What re some good reccomendations? Some 'must know' games that you'd reccomend?

In terms of great point-and-click games, besides the old classics (Monkey Island, Kyrandia, King's Quest…), I'll always recommend Daedalic Entertainment. Not a “must-know”, but it's an example of how to make a modern game of this genre nowadays.

See Deponia as an example of comedy, Memoria as an awesome epic fantasy. Perhaps Night of the Rabbit as a quick summer adventure. All made with their publicly available point-and-click game engine Visionaire Studio, by the way.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 1 and the sequel are also pretty great. Fran Bow if you'd like something both charming, and scary and disturbing. For something imaginative, see Machinarium or Samorost. Primordia tackles religion and philosophy, in a world inhabited by robots.

Apart from the classics, one of my favourites is Barn Runner, a story-based point and click adventure series. Other genres include the Submachine series, which is an escape room based point and click adventure, and story-driven hidden object games, such as the Mystery Case Files series (the one I remember playing back in the day was the first one, MCF: Huntsville)
