But there is a friendly ass tortoise shell kitty that hangs out around where I work, so I guess tortoise shell
That would be the tortoiseshell. In fact, I even have one.

Calicos... IDK only had a few over the farm years, they seem decent.
Oddly, Tuxedo cats seem the best pets... and bred w/ more viscous breeds (Maine coon, exotics), the best predators.
