The BBS always had bad apples to begin with... If you want to read more, let me know through a simple react or a reply.

Well, it's a lot more than those users, that you mentioned. For a long, long time, before those 'other' websites rose up, a lot of users used to use the forums on here or some other forums back in the day. I didn't find NG until the fall of 2007, so I don't know much of the NG BBS history in some way before '07. Now I saw a lot of people come in and go. I saw some interesting users of their time and some awful users, and the real bad users.
I mean the forums weren't always this awful from time to time. But here were a few problems it faced; toxic users that would harass the users on and off of the forums (not every single user is a toxic user, also back in the day some users would have the mentality that no one would find out their real identity, so they wouldn't face the consequences yet), some mods that not everyone liked and respected (one of the main points), some website indirectly competing with NG (driving off its userbase), then there was Tom when he was a much different person back then (when he liked the mods, more than the users in the late 00's), lots of users and mods competing each other for more forum posts, random post deletion from the mods (even if the user in question, didn't post anything against the rules, they might loose 2 to 5 posts a week back in the day), the lack of creativity in the General section (Like PhotoShop threads for an example. Do you ever see a thread on here that lasts more than 2 or 3 pages these days? There was an art submission of this), the next gen of users (from the users born from 1995 to 2007, raised differently and types or texts differently from the older counterparts), dealing with the aging userbase, and the lack or thereof interesting threads as of the 2020's. (I can't think of more, but this will do for now.)
