Yeah, this was a huge shock, especially to the OCR community; I personally know quite a few folk who were expected to collaborate with him in the coming months, so this is really out of the blue.
RIP PirateCrab
Need some music for a flash or game? Check it out. If none of this works send me a PM, I'm taking requests.
So many amazing artists I have yet to discover on Newgrounds.
Rest In Peace.
That is such a shock. To leave this world at such a young age. He was so talented and had so much to give. He won't be forgotten.

Daniel was loved for his metal game music arrangements and had been sharing his music here since 2010. Here is but a small sampling of his hits here on NG, please take some time to listen to them today and appreciate everything Daniel gave to this world!

He was such an insanely talented dude, hereโs the last video he shared on NG:
Daniel has been added to our In Memoriam page.

This is absolutely terrible news. Not only could Daniel absolutely shred, but he was a great guy. I interacted with him a lot around 2014-2016 or so - he was both a contestant and a judge at various times during the first few years of the NGUAC. I specifically remember him being supportive and encouraging of other competitors when those competitors felt like they "weren't good enough" to participate. I also remember how humble he was about his immense talents. It's a really sad day when we lose a titan like Daniel. Rest in peace, brother.

If the age listed on his bio is right, he passed away way too soon.
Hoist the Colors high brothers. never shall he die
What, how? Also, first time I heard of this dude...
Super talented guy, ol' PirateCrab. You and your blistering guitar work will be missed.
I'd say I knew him more for his original work such as his entries to NGADM:
Not just an amazing guitarist/producer but also an amazing composer.
My condolences to those who knew him well and to his family.
Aw, this sucks โน๏ธ
GNU man. Mind how you go.

I heard about this a few days ago. From my interactions, Daniel was always super friendly. I knew him mainly from his original work, and for years I've thought if I ever need any great metal sounds for any of my compositions, I would know where to turn. I'm very sorry to hear about this, and I wish anyone close to him the best.
Never had the opportunity to hear this dude's works before but just seeing how young he was is very sad to read.
RIP

May your music live on forever! Keep on Rocking always. Thanks, Tom for commemorating his life and work.
Man, It always upsets me when a talented soul passes away, especially when they're younger than me.
I've never heard of him or his music so I took a quick look at his stuff and wow, it's the real deal.
Thank you for bringing attention to this amazing artist.
RIP
Awful that he died so young. May his legend live on forever.
RIP PirateCrab
Seeing this post brought my heart up from my gut some.
