Team Fortress 2 is the natural choice for general Steam gaming. I will throw it on sometimes to clear my mind by fucking about on it. It is perhaps the only pvp game which will frequently dissolve into people not giving a shit about fighting to fuck about together, even general gameplay for most people consists of fighting most of the time then doing something stupid for a laugh, or the infinitely amusing killbind when you fuck up, see someone else fuck up, or just decide "fuck it" and killbind with your ally or enemy because fuck it. It's a glorious mess of people who don't give a shit and just want to relax and have fun.

Depends really, but personally recommend to try such games as Barotrauma, Deep Rock Galactic if we speak of multiplayer. If we speak about singleplayer then maybe Darkwood, or Fear And Hunger Termina (a sequel to Fear and Hunger that I also recommend to try out. Both Termina and F&H are hard games so that one is for the taste(additionally must warn about nudity that can be censored with a mod)). Then of course standart Left 4 dead 1 and 2 and finally Starbound.
