It seems neat but I’m not a fan of the bullet hell genre and also I first heard about it through the song Bad Apple
~2010, unowenwasher from synthesia. Its a clunky song but it's about as colorful as the game is. Of course the only-girls fights would be all about the pretty flower shapes, though the idea of dodging trippy fields of moving colors is novel. It harkens to times when game difficulty wasn't compared to darksouls. Shitpost animations of skits were funny, so I skimmed the lore. Seems aesthetically improvised with convolution that only comes from jillions of Shinto deities. Demetori showed off the discography better than shibayan et al.
I learned about it because of Rivals of Aether Ronald McDonald victory theme. It's a remix of Ronald's Insanity. I like the music in it but the gameplay of Touhou isn't something that would keep me hooked for long.

I knew about it, but didn't pay attention to it much. But I'm really only interested in those touhou fighting games.
homie I got zero idea of what it is but it's kinda funky ngl
I was listening to Flandre Scarlet's theme years before knowing what Touhou was. Never played a Touhou game but I thiiink I've played a Touhou romhack.
Played the earliest 5 games. It was pretty fun. The music's superbly good to this day, too.

2007 was a magical time.
Got into bullet hell games and somehow found Touhou which reminded me about it because I saw Sr Pelo do a live stream of it at one point in time
DORIYAH!!!
i played the edgy "Yukkuri" beanbuns abuse games. never actually played the bullet hell games.
Touhou is the most interesting thing. One guy's vision, one guy's efforts, one massive franchise. Hakurei Kannushi was a Toby Fox before being a Toby Fox was cool.
I used to love the games many years ago, but I could never handle anything above Easy.

i’ve always heard Touhou songs when i was younger and watched YTPMVs, but I never actually knew what the game was. i only got to play some of the games recently (Touhou 2 and 6), and they’re pretty alright. idk what the hype around them is though.
I first heard about it when I was in elementary school, because of Ronald Insanity, yet I wasn't really into it until I went to middle school and had some friends who was into anime and Japanese video games and stuff. Back then I was not good at gaming so I just read some fan-made manga and watched some fan-made animations. Nowadays people around me talk about it and send fumo memes now and then, yet sadly I have lost much interest to it already.
I never cared much for bullet hell style games. Hell, I liked cuphead more than touhou, but I find the artwork and fan art to be adorable.
i like the covers of U.N. Owen is hwo. i like that the go from beutiful composissions to amazing shitposts
i found a playlist of covers so you can listen to them yourself.
oh, when it comes to the main games. i havnt played them :/
Probably one of my favorite things I accidentally stumbled across. I've ran into touhou so many times in the past, but I do remember grabbing Reimu while collecting Mugen characters way back when.
