Hey I’m 50Steaks, and I’m making a song for all of the United States, with just one to go. I can’t believe it took me so long to do this, but here we are. Welcome to the steakhouse, a place where you can discuss my music, offer feedback, maybe do one of those review for review things, I don’t know. This whole idea seems a little self centered to me but given how unique my account is I thought this was more than justified. At the moment I’m keeping everyone waiting as I finish the finale to the 50 States series, so I am definitely late to do this, but I’ll try and talk with everyone I can here. I’ve also made two new playlists: the filet mignons of NG is basically my ongoing playlist of music I like that is posted here, and the Best of 50Steaks is self explanatory.
So here are a few of my songs posted a while ago by now. Obviously we have the most recent, South Dakota. As I was making this song, I knew it was going to be one of my best songs simply because of the way I used the bass and supersaws. I find the mix to be slightly muddy in some parts but it overall is a good way to leave off the first 49.
I’m going to throw in a complete change of pace here in the form of Utah, a song that I made when I asked myself “what would happen if bassoon and guitar.”
Last year I made this song, thinking it was my best ever but later the reception was fairly lackluster due to the lack of true harmonies. But I must say I’m still a fan of this melody and the mixing.
And let’s travel back in time a bit for two songs that were WAY ahead of their time in terms of melody and progression respectively. These two songs were probably what gave old fans of mine hope that I could improve as a whole for my music creation.
In February of 2022, I received my first ever frontpaged track: Nevada. If you’ve heard of me before, it was probably either through this song or in the tank tribune one month. Many would consider this my best ever track, and I gotta admit it’s been really hard to surpass this one.
It wouldn’t really be a steaks music thread if we didn’t include some mention of the Missouri series, the series that started my account. I’ll just throw it here, but these songs are for the most part very old and thus not as good as the songs above.
I can’t believe we’re at 49/50 to be honest. Lately my uploads have been slowing down since these songs are taking a lot longer. For the record, I’ve produced every song on FL studio mobile, mostly due to to budgetary reasons and the fact that the little app actually can pack a huge punch. It includes many of those FL plug-ins and a wide variety of styles is possible with its expansions (and the expansions are all really cheap so that’s nice). I will say though, performance is really hurting as I make big projects like the finale, especially on the playback side of things. So feel free to discuss anything I’ve put here or anything else you want to.
