As we approach the end of summer, a quick NG status update is due!
Our biggest project this year, spanning the entirety of 2023 thus far, has been migrating the Art Portal to the Project System and adding true multi-image support. This project has been a good example of the last 20% being 80% of the work but it remains very close to completion. I have a launch post ready for when it goes live and it’s tempting to post it ahead of time to hype all the changes, however I’m holding out.
Our second big project this year has been the Playlist system, which initially was scoped as a series of small updates but a number of those updates have converged into a big update. When these changes go live, we’ll be migrating the old Collection & Series system into the playlist system and artists will be able to manage their own official series pages on the site. There will be lots of intricacies to explore in this space, including music albums, event pages and more.
We have a Spring Cleaning list that became a Summer Cleaning list that will now be a Fall Cleaning list; basically a bunch of small site fixes and quality of life improvements we hope to put in place after these projects roll out, in addition to ongoing updates surrounding these two projects.
