Super Meat Boy because the character looks funny
I like the griminess of Super Meat Boy more.

This Newgrounder is so god damn right! Rayman has the best platformers on the market.
I picked up Celeste when it arrived on Xbox Game Pass, I honestly like the metaphor or the main character climbing up a mountain and stuff. Definitely does a better job of telling the player a message than Omori ever will.
Even with the good stuff I’m saying about Celeste. Super meat boy is just better.
Crazy? I was crazy once.
I think both games have their strengths. Celeste is probably the better game on average, it's level design is way better/more fair and it has significantly better music/story/aesthetics, but SMB is much more replayable and has better controls.
One is wholesome
Other is badass
One haves Air dash
One can run and haves the best wall jum in gaming
One thing for sure, they'll be ragequit
Never played meat boy but i played a gb rom of celeste on my wii u once, it was fun. 👍
Super Meat Boy:
Multiple Playable Characters+
Over A Hundred Levels+
Amazeing Soundtrack+
i wana play celeste but never beat super meat boy so ill be following this post heavily
I podcast, make documentaries, cartoons, games and art. I also hate lawns. Love weasels. Am neutral on Snow Cones. I feel nothing about snow cones. Sometimes they are nice.
Both of the game creators were inspired by the Super Mario series. They must've played it with a blindfold on because they both missed what made Mario fun and it would explain the ridiculous difficulty.
Go play a better game like Mario 3 or Mario World.
I prefer Celeste by a long shot but Super Meat Boy is still pretty great regardless
I just prefer Celeste's art style and it's difficulty is less rage inducing to me, as evident by me beating the main Celeste campaign but not beating the main Super Meat Boy campaign. Celeste controls are also so dang satisfying
Super Meat Boy still has awesome style to it and the physics are pretty neat
I will probably live my entire life without even unlocking Steven Minecraft,,,
Celeste hands down, It’s platforming is a lot more fun also has really good music

super meatboy because the community isnt annoying
Super meat boy is iconic, not like celeste isn't, but i prefer the scenery and the very simple story super meat boy follows.
Honestly can't really compare them they're both fairly different in the mechanics department.
If you really had to put a gun to my head I'd say Super Meat Boy but they're both pretty good.

Ehh i disagree for the main campaign (1-7) they are not rage quit but the rest hoho they are definetely rage quit
As much i love Meat boy, i can't deny Celeste is better, they are less punishing and subjectively have better control
In seriousness though, I would say Celeste, I like the larger focus on it's dialogue it has, compared to Meat Boy.
Not to mention Madeline's stiffer physics feels a lot easier to control compared to Meat Boy's loose, floaty and slightly slippery physics.
