Toxic Avenger 4k Box Set

Troma released an eight disc collectors box with all of the Toxic Avenger movies in 4k!

Lloyd Kaufman sent me the box set because I got my eyes poked out in the fourth movie but I also feel compelled to give it a plug for old times’ sake.

We updated the Art Portal with true multi-image and multi-author support! We have a long list of items still getting sorted out, expect some improvements to go live this week.

We migrated collections and series into an upgraded Playlist system, so now people can manage their own series pages, set up music albums and more!

Quick question about the upcoming Alien Hominid releases;

Do they have Steam Deck support, and if not - is it planned? By that I mean more stuff like GUI icons and official controller configs, as I think they'll run fine with proton with maybe some tinkering.

Cant wait for alien hominid! I played it first at the franklin institute in Philly, and then became hooked instantly.

Looking forward to replaying Alien Hominid 1 and the sequel.

I remember way back in 2004 I had my Dad calling up those import game dealers you'd see advertised in the back of magazines so that I could get a copy here in the UK as there wasn't a release date set at the time for our region. That I was aware of anyway. In the end we didn't get a GameCube version in PAL regions anyway so I guess I was wise not to wait.

Later I bought a PS2 copy so my mate and I could play it cooperatively and I remember him being raging angry at the game because it was to hard for him haha. He was so fucked off by it that he refuses to even entertain a game that has any reputation for being difficult these days.

I also remember there was a nightclub here in Sheffield where someone had drawn a big picture of the Hominid in sharpie on a cubicle wall. I would imagine whoever did that was a user here at some point. Anyone want to claim responsibility for that? I used to have a pic of it I'll have to see if I can dig that out at some point.

I've always regretted how hard Alien Hominid was. I preferred easier games growing up so I don't know why I wasn't more comfortable with the idea of it being easy; it felt like the public demand was for games to be more of a challenge. Yeah its difficult to get correct. We made a Gravoor game for iOS back in 2012ish (Long since discontinued now) and probably the biggest complaint was that the high score times were almost impossible to achieve and the reason for that was because I played the game and based the times on what I considered to be a challenging time to achieve. Meanwhile I'm the person whos put the most time into those games and therefore my idea of a challenge is not what your average player's would have been. I think its one of those game design challenges noone really talks about because there are so many other aspects to think about.

I remember studying in a building just across the road from them and thinking it was cool! I actually used to know quite a few guys from on here back in the day that I've mostly lost touch with now. Maybe its time to get a bit of a Yorkshire meet up going.
