Johnathan’s NG history goes back far beyond his current account, having previously posted under the johnathan-wrathborne name. He placed in Halloween 2008 with “The ladys room” and again in Pico Day 2010 with “Tankmen: Dual” and Halloween 2010 with “Left4lol: Survive This.”
In 2017 he won first place on Pico Day with 2XXX, which has since been re-posted after he closed his original account and opened Outsideboxproduction. He also followed it with a formal episode one:

With his Outsideboxproduction account, Johnathan was known for his Joy to the World and Breached webcomics as well as some great Dungeons & Dragons-inspired movies.

Johnathan was a chat regular and will be greatly missed by friends there.
Please take this opportunity to share your favorite memories about Johnathan. I mentioned it’s been a sad week because last Thursday we got word that Wiesi has passed. Thank you everyone who has been sharing memories about Wiesi, as well.
God rest this talented soul!
Damn man, this user i actually knew for his animations. his Dnd inspired animations were great and was a sight to see an animator doing his stuff for fun. may the man rest in peace.
Jesus man, not another legend lost.
I remember seeing early incomplete versions of 2XXX. I'd often read the Joy to the World comics. And Another day at 2fort is a core memory of mine.
Rest in piece.
I'm sure everyone appreciates that you take the time to write these posts Tom. It really goes to show how much you care about this community, and how personal it is to everyone. A sad week, indeed.
Ok, I was not expecting this. Even if I didn't know the person behind the animations, it doesn't mean I can say that he has a very amazing and brilliant art style in his projects. And yes Mr. @TomFulp, this week is very sad, not only in the Newgrounds community, but also in the community of animators, artists and gamdevs.
Mr. @GALLOWS-GOD (Jonathan's brother-in-law), if you read this, I want to send my sincere condolences to you and his family as well as to his colleagues and friends, and also tell you that he was a very admired person by his fans and followers, both on Newgrounds and YouTube, besides being an inspiration for some who are animators and artists who saw his animations and read his webcomics. From Galicia (SPAIN) to the world, I hope the soul and spirit of Jonathan (Outsideboxproductions) can rest peacefully with heaven.

It's totally a sad week. Ahriman's arrow in its ugliest form
This actually shocked me ngl, rest in peace
He would always chat with me and share links to his projects, too bad my activity in the chat took a nosedive a while back ago and I never really got back to it. Wish I had interacted more with him the times I dropped by there.
Rest in peace Jonathan. I'll miss you.
Holy shit what the fuck. This came out of nowhere. I used to talk quite a bit with him in the past (at least, until a year or two ago). Can't say we always saw eye to eye but this is fucking terrible, RIP

Seems a lifetime ago, when we made our first acquaintances. You can't help but to reach out to a fellow who creates a narrative, a magnum opus, for all to see. Blessed are the writer-creators. I knew his real name, some time ago, when I sent him a few bucks via Paypal for his good works. Life is full of transitions, burdens, strife... and he did illustrate and animate those concepts extremely well. I got in trouble recently for calling his work "anal" (retentive) lol; couldn't help but to compare his work to Dr Seuess and Norman Rockwell (the devil is in the details).
Love can ascend your reborn soul into an immortal plane, it can also damn you to the abyss (the best intentions can lead you to hell, as love can be the most dangerous emotion).
My impression of Johnathan Wrathbourne, glimpsed mostly through NG Chat, has been one of love, honor, duty - the same qualities he exhibited with his posted works here on Newgrounds.
Your presence has been a Joy to the World, and I honor it. May your loved ones prosper, be joyful and persevere in this mortal realm we call Life. We shall never forget you, honored seeker.
Vault 101 I have (LOST) many old and deleted Flash submissions, (you can't) PM me (dammit Tom) the filename, maybe I (godhelpmeonedayIwill) got it.
Damn, I actually remember seeing his animations when I was a kid. I specifically remember his parody of Left 4 Dead.
What the hell. Way too young for that. I liked this dude's work for a long time now. Damn it.
I will take this as a sign that it's time to start living a more healthy lifestyle. He'd like that.
RIP John.

Most of the time whenever it has been November most of the good people I know have died, at least in my walk of life.
Then again it's also a month where change happens, death brings about a kind of change.
(I appreciate death since it forces me to appreciate life, but whenever a good person dies it's just sadder than it needs to be)
Respect to this nicest person! RIP

RIP. May your art continue to inspire many others for years to come.
I sometimes have been off and on, i mainly stay in the chat.
One face i almost always saw was Johnno. He was such a bright beacon that always moved on despite the hardships ahead. He had amazing art and animations, I was hoping for him to make his dream project to reach everyone so that they could understand his brilliance and spread it everywhere.
I will miss him, he was a great pal to talk with and exchange niche conversations with about stuff that only we could know.
goodbye Johnno, you are missed and hope to see each other again someday

bizarre to join chat expecting some familiar faces, and then learn one of them will never enter again.
I can hardly believe I'm only hearing about this now... Johnathan was a great person. Rest in Peace.
