The tablet that I use, AND the tablet that Newgrounds suggests that new and aspiring artists use is the
XPPen Deco 01 V2 Drawing Tablet 10x6.25
it might be good for you to read up on this thread as well, there are many different names and tablets that come into the discussion in this thread, so your options are rather open, depending on budget, features, and other items
get something with a screen. it's a fantastic starting point imho and I think nothing competes with having your display in the same spot you're making your brush strokes. Wacom Cintiqs are expensive but you get what you pay for.
