Well, I really like Adobe Flash 8, and its actionscript language, although it is no longer supported, but can I still create games there and publish them here? or convert the swf to exe?

Yes, flash games uploaded to newgrounds can be played via either the (desktop) Newgrounds player (which is basically just a flash player/projector app) or via Ruffle (emulated in-browser, no downloads needed).

Yup! Infact there's an entire collection of flash games made post 2020:

Tomorrow’s the deadline for this year’s Flash Forward, we’ve already gotten a whole bunch of new Flash games running in Ruffle!

Heck yeah, Newgrounds has their own player and Ruffle dedicated towards Flash games. As long as Newgrounds is up, Flash games will be too

Yeah, but there's also the question of where the fuck to *get* Flash to make games with in the first place. The only options I could think of I don't really want to try, being signed into a Creative Cloud account and all. Knowing Adobe, they might detect it and send me a letter threatening legal action.

The very first thing this page says is that Adobe are taking action against them and none of their download links work anymore.

Look, I use Macromedia Flash 8, there are plenty of videos on YouTube where they give you a link and product key to obtain Flash 8. That's how I got Flash 8. You probably are going to have to stick to the older versions since Adobe didn't purchase Macromedia at the time and the old versions have one-time purchases.

I'll look into this, thanks.

you can make flash games using flash and export as swf flash file and publish in NG

What if it's not Flash forward, does it get removed?

Basically me, what else?

I didn't think this questions warranted a new thread, and this is games related so I'll ask here: Is there a standalone swf project creator that's command line oriented? Like you don't need the flash IDE install to merely just publish the project into a single swf or maybe projector?

I've heard of swfmill and swftools, but wasn't sure of those two were what I was looking for.

You have a greater chance in life of experiencing the lazarus phenomenon (Being declared dead and then living again a short brief period later) than making some earth shattering masterpiece of a work.

Art stuff or something like that.

If you use AS3 then you can use the Flex SDK / mxmlc to compile from the command line.

What about flash 8?

Uses AS2, so unlikely.
