Write a weird prompt and see if anyone draws it

Can you guys attempt to draw something for this thread, please?

There’s about 35 replies to this thread, but only two pictures and they’re both by the same person.

I think there should have been a rule that requires people to draw a pic before dropping a prompt, as one is harder and takes more time to produce than the other.

Thanks, this is probably the first good thing anyone's said about my madness in a long, long time.

It was actually inspired by this weird ass Formspring ask!

I am also now shameful to share my zodiac with him as well! :D

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep.

Do you hear me, Butterfly?

So the idea is that you write a Prompt for someone to draw, and it can be anything allowed here on Newgrounds
.
Let's add some rules:
1.NSFW drawings are allowed, but if you want to post on the forum, post censored so we can try to keep this in M
2.If you have a Prompt that is a fetishism of yours, it is interesting to think about whether it is too grotesque for other people (porn destroys your sense of what is acceptable)
2.1Just to make it clearer Prompt for nsfw content like milf, some sexy clothes, or even cosplay in my opinion is ok (you can't agree). Let's make it clear that we don't want gore, and nothing like that (at least I think that's good idea)
3.No artificial intelligence
4.Let's not judge what people want
Observation:
If you are an artist who wants to draw something different, you can write on the forum something like “hi, I want to draw for someone”, and then people can ask you directly (Of course, here we are talking about free drawings, and you also don't have obligation to accept), just call in your DM (But if someone likes your work you might as well turn on your seller mode lol)
.
What is a prompt?
In programming, a prompt could be a command or request for input from a user.
Example:
a scene where Batman confronts one of his archenemies in a showdown.
Or
Imagine a fearless and powerful orc warrior. Draw a scene that captures her essence: her facial features, her armor, her determined expressions. Bring this unique character to life in your art.
.

And just by marketing myself, you can ask me for things directly too lol (I'll only accept 2)
.
be creative:)

A goblin in a lace dress but the dress is made of shoelaces 🧌

HELL YEAAAHH

I take it you're a fan of goblins :P

Yeah I think they’re cool 🧌

Two questions:

1: what makes you like them a lot, if it's alright to ask?

And B: Mind if i give you a goblin prompt specifically?

A prompt with an Orc? That i ought to be able to do! Love me sum malefic filth! Provided i can sort myself out in terms of organizing what I want to draw and what i should draw.
This is an interesting one, so thank you for putting up this prompt!

In terms of myself giving a prompt for someone else to draw (not specifically you alone, this is for anyone who wants it), i'll give a normal one and a kind of spicy one.

For the spicy one:
The core of this prompt's theme is something to do with bondage. A practice that's got its origins in the erotic and has various sexual ties (pun).
Now here's the thing: try to make a character with such design elements, where the erotic associations take a backseat. Kind of reinventing bondage as a style on its own. We'll have the chains without the whips.
Just think chains, ropes, cages, restraints, pillories, branks/scold's bridles. Leather and/or rubber are allowed. I encourage you to make a non-human humanoid, fantasy creature or outright monster (ranging from the goober to the scary and anything in-beteen) out of it over a straight-up human.
A character can be very much disadvantaged by wearing restraints (like wearing a straitjacket or a leg-binding garment, limbs tied together, stuck to the wall) or have them be pretty loose alike. As long as such design elements are clear.
----
For a bonus bit:
Draw them in a pretty casual or cartoonish situation. Like getting ice cream/a snack, hanging out at a café with a nice spring or rainy evening atmosphere, one of them comforting someone else (can be as serious or as silly as you'd want it to be), them arguing, sightseeing, painting, having a cruddy day at work, one character using another as a weapon, whatever.
As said before, the erotic side is to take a backseat. We'll have the chains without the whips.
I hope this is acceptable/not too grotesque or weird.

That lady on the bottom right must be thinking "My good man/woman/otherwise, how are you not burning alive in a hot day like this with all that rubber!?"

"Beautiful hair though"

I can't really tell if the face is one big half-closed tired eye with a pink iris and a blonde eyebrow cut in half (or two eyebrows for the single eye) or if the yellow parts are eyes and it's smiling with a missing tooth, but either way they've got a sweet hat and boots. Fun and quite colorful piece, man!

Truth to be told i wasn't expecting someone to take up that bondage character prompt so soon over the 3-inspirations-monster, due to being rooted in adult stuff and being worried it'd be too out there, but the end result's nice and I hope you had fun making it :)

Edit:

I just wondered "What if this character's the life guard at the beach?" and was thinking exactly how skilled of a swimmer they must be to keep folks safe while clad like this.

Or they're just plain supernatural, that's also an option.

  1. I grew up on a lot of Zelda and fantasy RPG games. I think the designs people make for them are sick a lot of the time and they were around the first things I started drawing when I was a kid. Also green is a banger color 🧌
  2. I don't mind :D

I had a lot of fun.

What attracted me to this scenario was to take an outsider character that would seem strange, dark and frightening, placing them in a "wholesome" scene and nobody reacts to ... whatever they are. Comedy of the unexpected.

The lifeguard idea is great. Adds an extra dimension 😄

I'm glad to read that!

That's a sweet way of describing it! The way you've described it reminds me a bit of something like the Munsters or the Addams Family, in a sense.

Such strange and even frightening characters existing just fine in a "normal" world.

It's not quite the same, considering part of the humor from the Addams Family is exactly *because* the people in-universe react to the Addams Family's ways, and i don't know anything about the Munsters, but the power of contrast takes many forms to be fascinating.

Now i'm imagining the ball on the ball-and-chain being some sort of floatie. Or a variant where the ball is replaced by a beach ball.

In the words of the Orks from Warhammer 40K, GREEN IZ BEST! Right on! :P

Makes sense! The Bokoblins and Moblins in the LoZ series, gobloids, trolls, orcs and ogres in fantasy in general, as well as adjacent creatures, can take many shapes. Tickles the mind and imagination. Always sweet to have inspiration and motivation from something from such a young age.

Thank you for replying and sharing!

Here goes for the prompt suggestion:

One of your own characters with their stylish urban Y2K-kinda appearances, being the guest of a goblin mystic in some cave, hut or tent. I think it could be interesting to see a more hip, bold and modern character in the environment of something older, different and subdued.

(You could do stuff like give the environment more subdued, brown-ish colors, even if there's various cloths with mystical/intriguins patterns or pendants hanging around for decoration, while your own character is as bold and colorful as they always are).

Hope this may be an interesting prompt suggestion.

Sounds great! I’ll do it whenever I’m free

It was inconceivable, born from the netherworld blight of Chaos, massive and detailed beyond all boundaries and mathematics. The shape suggested a hint of anthropoid, but the head was all wrong, where a head should be. It only had a large singular tentacle. It had no face, only a large gapping void where no light can escape. Good God, it was the Faceless God, the Stalker Among the Stars, the Messenger of the Nuclear Chaos, the Crawling Chaos Nyarlathotep.

Cowgirl themed magical girl. :3

It would also be cool if she had tamer powers. Like controlling a group of cows to attack the enemy, or even summoning cows as a necromancer (something like an RPG where you have subclass)

Maybe she can resurrect the cow from a dead cow skull. Some sort of “Ghost Riders in the Sky” stuff.

maybe she could open a dimensional rift by pulling out these heads, and resurrecting them. And as you said about ghost rider, she can choose an element (earth, fire, water, or air) and the cow could use that element to protect the tamer.
and depending on the element the cow will have a different personality

We’re makin’ a full-ass plot here, boys!

Next up: Skeleton desperados.
Skelerados.
The evil guy has a fortress made out of some ancient Hopi or Mesoamerican-inspired stronghold (with the edgy stylings, like giant spines and bones and spiky bits decorating it), the Skelerados make up the enemy force, and he can send out the Skelerados or other monsters by putting them in a big revolver bullet and then shooting them out of a giant revolver into the direction where the cowgirl or the subject of his ire is located.
Kind of like how in Brütal Legend the Bleeding Deaths are loaded in ballistic iron maidens to use as quick big enemy force deployments. Or how in Sym-Bionic Titan the villain regularly shoots a monster to Earth in a meteor.
(Funnily enough he has to buy them first).

This could legit become a one-off comic, do y’all want to start a Google doc or something to brainstorm? Lol

I understand where you are coming from, the problem is there would have to also be a quality check, otherwise what is stopping someone from drawing a half-assed stick man for the prompt?

By no means am I trying to be disrespectful, I just had an issue with your statement.

At this moment in time there is zero quality control; a half-assed stick is still a step in the right direction for a thread that is almost exclusively prompts.

It’s up to the artist to decide to take up a prompt; if someone draws a stick man it’s up to the artist to decide if it’s good enough to take up their prompt, whether the user is just using the thread to ask for Lovecraftian requests, or whether they’d rather take up one of the more interesting prompts instead.

But like I said, all I see in this thread is non-stop prompts, which I assume people love writing but this is an Art Forum.

Heh heh, 'twas a big bunch of text of mine indeed. Thank you for taking the time to read it all through, however!

That's the thing with "exactly what you had in mind" when it comes to prompts: You're not here to outright control the fine details of how someone "should" make a piece of art. The branches of artistic trees split off a thousandfold into a thousand smaller branches, each branch carrying a thousand fruits.

If everyone had to enjoy the same fruit, we'd only have one tree.

You made something your own based on the promptand it came out very sweet. The style's interesting for having mainly black, white and greys, with red being the only "real" color for the ropes, gloves and ballgag to make those features stand out.

(Last time i remember seeing such a style was in Madworld for Wii, but thankfully your scene here doesn't have that game's reasons for the red. So much blood... )

Uh in any case, your piece is stylistically very interesting and cool on the color front. The shading of their coats is nice too, and I like those extra decorations on the smaller character's coat (the white lines near the edges and the drawstrings for the hood)., they're fashionable and stylish. Plus that white ribbon in the bigger character's hair.

The bigger girl looks a bit sad or tired, so I hope she can get some good rest in later.

I reckon the smaller character chose out some softer type of rope to wrap the other up in for comfort's sake. I can imagine the both of them going into a store, the smaller character having trouble reaching an upper shelf, and the bigger character giving a surprise boost-up by going under the smaller one's legs so that the smaller character now sits and can stand on her shoulder to reach that shelf.

And then they walk home with an even amount of things in their backpacks, sharing the burden. And getting some ice cream on the way back.

Perhaps they'll sit on a bench in the park for a bit and a duck steals the larger character away by the leash.

In any case, I think it's a sweet piece and I hope you had fun making it!

You know how almost every bard type tries to woo the dragon in tabletop roleplaying game scenarios? Here's the twist: before the bard type even says anything, the dragon ends up wooing the rest of the party instead! The bard then has to "convince" the dragon to let them go, and if they fail, they all get eaten/destroyed/whatever.

Idk I just thought this up just now lol. Hope this makes the list.

I'll never look back, I've got no regrets,

Cause time doesn't wait for me

I choose to go my own way
