Wouldn't it be cool to have an indie horror game animated completely in Claymation? People back then used to make games in Claymation. Heck, the person behind Cuphead made the game ALL hand-drawn so when theirs a will, theirs a way! :D
HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!

Claymation wouldn't be the most expensive way to make a game, I guess. You'd need a good set up to take the pictures and edit out backgrounds so you can import your models as sprites in the game (or potentially digitally replicate claymation style with 3D models).
Horror games are hot money right now though and you can basically release any old dogshit in the genre and make a little money, so I say it's worth doing I guess.
I’ve been workin’ on a claymation indie game for three years so I could give some insight on this
Yes, having the right setup makes it so much cheaper in budget, but what u lack in budget, u make up for in time (and trust me, it takes A LOT of time)
but at the end of the day, the game is comin’ along great and has been worth it! So I feel that Claymation in video games has many potholes and trips, but at the end of the day it’s absolutely Worth it! :)

Great to know! Forgive me for replying so late but I heard of an upcoming game titled "The Midnight Walk" and it's a horror stop-motion game! Man, it's like I predicted it or somebody actually took notes of my idea and thought it seemed great!

Oh Wow! That’s actually really cool!
the style is beautiful
since we’re on the topic of claymation games, I finally released a demo/ alpha of a claymation game that I’ve been working on called “Franklin’s Bounty”
it still has a few bugs and needs a few fixes, but when the full game is out
many of those will be fixed. But here’s the link to the game’s demo alpha: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/948664
Sounds nice! Unfortunately, I'm using mobile so I won't be able to see said demo. But ya know. I hope you the best on the game regardless! ○v○
