Is there a way to download the PNG or JPEG???

Seems like all the art on the site is WEBP now...I hate this file type. Is there a way to download the original PNG or JPEG versions? Thanks.

I have that Firefox addon and it doesn't seem to work? Dunno what I'm doing wrong exactly. It's always worked for me in the past on other sites. I've tried downloading as a PNG and a JPEG and it still downloads a WEBP???

you can try copying the image, pasting in an image editor of your choice and exporting/saving in the desired format?

or maybe just pick save image as when downloading and picking the desired format to see if the OS itself does the conversion for you?

I am curious as to why you "hate" this file type, though. Recently, more and more programs have become updated to support .webp files, and the reason as to why it's so popular (and I assume the reason why Newgrounds opted to have art files be converted into it) is because it effectively compresses file size, while maintaining file quality.

No external program is required. Just open the image you want to download in a new tab and replace the ".webp" part of the link with ".png", ".jpg", ".gif", etc. Load the new link and you'll have the original image

It seems the images are on the server on the format the artist uploaded them, so if you replace the .webp and the rest for either png or jpg you might be able to access to the image on that format. Mind you this might not work for all images, but it worked for the ones I checked, so take that into account.
