Brazil Day Art Contest!
For those unaware, Brazil is a country located in the southern hemisphere on the continent of South Amer—OK, you got all that. Recently, Brazil has gained attention thanks to the trend of Hatsune Miku sporting Brazil-themed clothing and flair. This blew up on the internet, leading to tons of fan art showcasing different styles, interpretations, and crossovers. But just as everyone seemed to be having too much fun, Twitter was banned by the Supreme Court of Brazil, causing many users, especially artists, to search for new platforms to post their work.

Luckily, Newgrounds isn’t banned in Brazil. So, to welcome new users to the site, we’ve decided to host a contest inspired by this trend!

The theme of the contest is: Draw any fictional character or OC representing Brazil.

Basically, if there’s a fictional character you want to draw, give them a Brazilian theme or vibe. This could mean wearing the colors of Brazil, enjoying Brazilian food or drink, or being in a Brazilian setting. You don't have to stick to just one character—get creative! The contest will be judged equally on skill/quality and originality. We’re also accepting original characters (OCs).

Your judges are @Abstract, @CometZz, @MitsuTan, @Kazukoto, @MatthewLopz, and myself.

Winners will receive the following cash prizes:

The payment will be disbursed by Newgrounds.

Newgrounds will also be accepting donations to crowdfund the total prize pool. If you’d like to contribute, simply make a donation on the Newgrounds Supporter Page and PM @TomFulp saying you’d like the money to be used for the contest. I’ll also write down the names of anyone who contributes below, for all the glory!
