So I know that straight up uploading a video of someone with some footage isn't allowed, but mixed media (like jameslee) is. But what if I were to make an informational video that is mostly drawn up by me, but I just sprinkle in occasional shots of myself- like actual video? I'm not sure if I'd do that or if I'll just go down a art-only route anyway (I don't like showing my face lol), but I wanted to ask to know what options I have for planning out this video idea I have swirling around my head

From the Movie Portal Guidelines: "Our focus is on animation. If you want to try live action here, it must be a short film with legit production value and an animation component done in post production." You have a better idea of how big the ratio of live action vs animation is in your video, but it sounds like it should be ok.
From what you're saying, that sounds ok to post! I'd recommend leaning more on the animation side, what I mean is use a green screen or something like that when recording the live action parts. Even if you didn't do that, looks like it would still be ok to post.
