Characters with silly names

Inspired by a YouTube video I found, have you ever had to write a serious story with a silly name in it? Whether it be one of your own characters, or a

I haven’t done a lot of writing as of late, but a while back (one or two years ago?) I started a collaborative role play project with some friends and one of their characters - probably the most traumatized of all - is named Eggplant, or Eggy for short. It’s normal in the character’s culture for people to be named after plants in general, and she’s originally from a team of people whose names are different colors, so it’s got multiple meanings in terms of the story, but I also think it’s funny.

I’m also juggling the idea of a Fear and Hunger college AU, to show the characters to some friends who wouldn’t be as interested in the horror parts of the games, and I’m really looking forward to involving characters like Pocketcat and Trortur into the mix, lol.

I made a midget character named Mr.Goatlunch, an agent named Agent Orange, a mercenary named The Good One, a dude with the power to generate random useless super powers named Rando, and a character named the Car Stealing Chimp.

Although my story is serious and dark, it does have some funny stuff in there that does not fit the genre, and there are some antagonists that would have some silly names and goofy appearances.

The Portuguese ones are the funniest.

Especially "Cuca Beludo" and "Tomás Turbano".
