Hello!
I have an art post that recently has had its score dissapear. I'm not sure why as there was no notification of any rule breaks or anything. The post still gets sorted by score and it does seem lower but is not the worst rated submission I have.
Is this a bug or did I do something wrong? I definitely want to stay within rules! Have you ever had this happen and not know why? (Also I am not linking it in this first post just incase it's like bad.)

If it’s this one, it looks like it’s been denoted as a sketch.

That's the one! Thank for the reply! Ah how were you able to find that out? I see now in edit mode that that is the case. I guess it was flagged? Also it's that a bad thing? (I mean I definitely can polish it up if it is.)

Maybe a ton of my work should not be in the art portal?

When you submit something there's a checkbox way at the bottom that you can untick if something is a sketch or unfinished work, did you untick that?
It's not a problem if a mod made this change themselves, and it's basically up to you to decide where you draw the line between a sketch and something that's finished or polished enough for the main art portal. (And personally I think the hand would be fine for the main portal, too, and if it was singled out I'm not entirely sure why). Just a lot of people never even see the checkbox and aren't even aware such a line exists at all.

I wouldn't worry about that, your work is easily good enough for the art portal.
Hey, thanks for getting back to me! I noticed the box got unchecked after TurkeyOnAStick said it looked denoted as a sketch. I don't think I did it, but if a mod did, that's cool. I just wish they'd told me. I'm a bit embarrassed because I hope my stuff is good enough for everyone to see.
Thanks for the reassurance, though. It's tough to know if something's good enough when all you have to go on is ratings and views. I hope someone else who's in the same future situation finds this and figures out what's going on. Then at least this can be a good thing. Thanks, you two!
