Anzu Castle Gracula sure scared me off initially with its hardcore difficulty, but somehow lured me back in over and over to give it another shot, making a bit more progress each time. It's put a spell on me and I just can't get away: now that's scary!

MAERE II is a nice evolution of the MAERE series that I enjoyed a lot for its great spooky atmosphere and gameplay. I still think it has room to grow, so I'm looking forward to the third version next Halloween: by then, I think it could usurp FNAF!

Olivia The Demon Slayer was a solid arcade SHMUP experience: it didn't catch my interest immediately, but once I started playing on hard mode, it bared its fangs and things got exciting!

Just realized now that STEREO hadn't used the Halloween2024 tag and wasn't in the collection, I've at least added it to the collection now. I'm assuming it wasn't participating in the contest but it would have been a strong contender!

Franz & Ritchie is also great but was several days after Halloween and also didn't use the tag, so wasn't considered a participant.
