I mixed some in a cup and drank that and the salt was gone, there was some stuff at the bottom, but that didnt taste like salt...

I'm guessin theres salt in your body...therefore your semen tastes salty. Meh just guessing here.
I don't think there's much salt in sperm cells... but seminal fluid is slightly alkiline since this is the pH that the sperm work best in, and it also aids to neutralise the acidic conditions of the vagina. This is why some people apparantly find it to taste sort of like dish-cleaner or something, it's that same ammonia-type taste that most alkalines have....
It can also be described as a salty-ish taste I suppose... damn, did I just try to answer this question sensibly?
