Just because you don't finish a game, doesn't mean you can't leave a good review. Have you ever watched a movie just so boring, you either slept at one point or never bothered to finish? Same instance here.

I think you guys should look into this tho. If a person can't finish watching the movie or finish playing the game, they shouldn't leave a review because they might have missed something important. (Like better graphics or anything like that) Still, I'll remember this next time.

That pretty much sums it up for me. I keep seeing more and more reviews with a lot of flags on them that shouldn't have been flagged in the first place while moderating reviews. It's hard to judge whether to clear the flags with a penalty or not because of that. There are simply too many people looking to get ZOMG DIETY any way they can...look at a few weeks ago, where we had accounts created just to spam negative reviews so the main account could flag them for whistle points. Of course, something like that is easily caught by us review mods, but still, it is a sign of increasing malicious intent toward the whistle system.

I completely disagree with this point. I think the way in which links have been posted in here lately is frankly ridiculous and extremely whistle-whorish (namely, posts with a LOT of links).

This thread should never have been about going out of your way to find abusive reviews, but moreover to post abuse that you stumbled upon. I think the way that some users are spending ages actively searching for abuse is frankly ridiculous - using Google searches and the like. This kind of behavior leads to stupid overzealous flagging, which in turn leads to users doing stupid things like creating spam alts to increase their whistle levels. It's a snowball effect which will inevitably end up with this thread causing more problems than it solves.

What the users who post links in this thread need to realize is that the whistle system was implemented to help clear the site of abuse, with a whistle level as a bonus, not the other way around.

I'm glad that the thread is back now, I think that it should stay here. At LEAST until a new, official thread is made. It's an efficient way of removing spam and abuse that otherwise wouldn't be flagged by multiple people.
