Yeah dogs can walk backwards. They sort of jump back rather than walk, but they can go backwards without turning around.

I think they turn around first rather than walking backwards because that way they can see where they are going. It makes sence really.

Mine do, but their first choice is always to turn around. They only walk backwards if they don't have room to turn around.
