Hey everyone. So far the overall reaction to the movie has been very good, but there are a few common complaints that I would like to address here.

First of all, many people have compained about the quality of the character animation in this movie. I realize the characters are not very animated, but there is a reason for this. In its current state, the movie is just barely small enough to fit within the movie guidelines for this site, after being divided into three seperate parts. Many portions of the movie are very stressful on slower computers as it is. We experimented with simple walking animations while working on the movie, and it drastically reduced the framerate on complex parts of the movie, and increased the file size. We decided that it would be best to keep the character animation as simple as we could, for maximum accessibility. Had we originally planned to have the movie set up as three seperate episodes, we probably could have worked some better animation into it, but at this point it's too late to do anything about it.

The second issue I would like to discuss is the comedy portions of the movie. This is a more controversial subject; many people enjoy the comedy, but a large number of people feel the movie would be better off without it. From the beginning, we wanted to approach the genre in a semi-comical manner. Not exactly a spoof, but enough comedy so that it'd be obvious the movie wasn't taking itself too seriously. For the people who didn't like the humor, there's not much I can say at this point. I just recommend not trying too hard to stick this movie into either the comedy or the action genre, and just try to be entertained by both parts.

In any case, my next Flash project, which I'm currently working on, is going to be completely devoid of humor (in fact it is intended to be somewhat depressing), and the animation will be far superior to The Hunt. It will be a much shorter movie based almost entirely on intense action sequences. But that's not due out for a while, so for the time being, I hope you can overlook some of The Hunt's shortcomings and enjoy the movie for what it is. Thanks!

Shattered Dreams Images presents...

THE HUNT: OPERATION PHOENIX

This movie is the result of over one year of the hard work of myself and several of my friends.

IMPORTANT INFO:
1. Due to the complexity of some scenes, some people may experience problems with the movie's sound falling out of sync with the images in the movie. If this happens, press the pause button in the corner of the screen, and then press it again to resume playing the movie. This should realign the sound with the images in the movie.
2. Portions of the movie are very dark. If you are having trouble seeing these parts of the movie, turn up the brightness on your monitor.

OTHER NOTES
It was originally set up as one episode, but size limitations forced me to cut it into three seperate episodes. Due to website limitations, I'll have to wait until tomorrow to upload part 3, so for now only the first two parts are available.

I don't know what else needs to be said right now, except that I hope everybody enjoys this movie- we've put a lot of work into it. I'm definitely open to any comments or constructive criticism anyone may have, so please feel free to leave a review after watching the movie. Thanks!

I spent my entire day today trying to use search terms to find this. I was about to quit then clicked to go to the previous page when I randomly somehow saw the name of this video in the middle of the page and had a eureka moment.

I literally just made an account to comment this, but I remember vividly telling a friend of mine about this video somewhere around 4th-5th grade (2009-2010) and after school I called his house and we had a watch party through the home phone. It's truly something amazing that after all my work today, I finally found it.

Thank you for making this, this was uploaded when I was 3 years old and I watched it first when I was around 9-10 years old, here I am 21 years old now.

Thank you for the comment! It makes me very happy to know that my work brought you and your friend some joy back in the day, and that you were able to find it again after all this time. I had a lot of fun making this one - it's actually based on a game my friends and I used to play with Nerf guns, back when we were just kids.

i remember watching The OG and The Hunt O.P as a little kid

fast forward to 2017 i finally managed to find this again

this brings me back when i was about 6 or 7 , playing Thing Thing and watching Madness Combat animations , and playing Chaos Faction and Dynasty Street
i miss the 2000s , back when everyone was a cool edgelord and nightcore and hands up and hard style music slowly rose up , i wish i could go back

System Of A Down, check
Linkin' Park, check
counter strike 1.6 sound effects, check

also before the end of Flash happened
i managed to download the SWF files , keep it safely (even Part 3 which is a Mp3 file)
it shows how important this was to my life :)

also it makes me sad that both The OG Hunt and Hunt O.P are not on YouTube
because i really wanna show it to my friend :D

i hope both with all the parts get posted in YouTube, i really hope :,,D
please respond to me if it's possible to get it up on YouTube (much like how Krinkels got his Madness Combat animations in YT :)

RobsH66 responds:

Hi there, thanks for the comments! Those were the good old days for sure, haha. I'm really happy to hear the video had a big impact on you back then.

I would try to upload the videos to YT, but since there's a lot of copyrighted music in these films they would most likely be flagged, and either muted or removed by Youtube's algorithms.

At least you can always show your friend the video right here on NG! :)

this brings me back from when i was 10 or 11 me and my friend would watch this over and over again back in the day i miss the 2000s so much i wish i could go back to those times so bad.

RobsH66 responds:

Thanks for the review! I get nostalgic when I watch this film too, haha :)

Great start!

While this did not get the acclaim of your other "Fallen Angel" series it was a great place to start here. I was thinking it was going to be more comedic at first, but it immediately got a serious tone and then some comedy and then back to serious. I honestly think this is the only time I have seen someone use that music in a serious manner. Everyone complains about how it is so emo and stuff. Tony was by far the best and funniest character with his obesity. I can see you are working on a good storyline.

Stupid

1) why send a useless fat guy on the mission he dosent even have a weapon
2)well the fat guy was really the only bad part
3) this had so much potential....
4)wat was the beginnig song and the end song
5) It was really good.....THEN THERE JUST HAD TO BE COMEDY.... not tryin to be mean but REALLY
6) again not to be mean but its hard to believe that u maade Fallen Angel which was really good bye the way
7( sorry dude
