DoubleWide -Ep. 1- PART 2

Share Collapse

Author Comments

This is PART 2 of episode 1 of my DoubleWide cartoon series. It was originally meant to be all one episode, but it was too long and too big. If you haven't seen PART 1, go to my profile and check it out. It will help make PART 2 make more sense. Part 2 was made at the same time Part 1 was, but I did take some editing advice and tried to make the animation move along a bit quicker, with less pauses. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Hilarous

The script was fantastic and some little things just made this hilarous and overall combining both parts made out to be one original hilarous flash cartoon,i hope you make a lot more of these cartoons in the future cause this is going to be one hilarous series on Newgrounds. :)

Can't wait for the rest...

Hey, I just saw that this was posted; I have been waiting for it, so I'm glad I found it. Great job tying up the first episode-- you really set the stage for the coming episodes. Although you are a new artist, I'm really impressed with your work and know that you will continue to improve on your animation, scripts, and timing as you go along. Therefore I've marked you as one of my favorite artists so I can follow your progress through your tenure here at NG. I'm excited to see what you have to bring to us in the future.

I know I'm not supposed to do this, but I'd like to make a quick point on previous reviews for Ep. 1, Pt. 1. There are a lot of negative people out there, so please don't let them get to you. Many people like no better than to find something wrong with someone or what they do rather than find the good things, and then they don't give the courtesy of saying why said thing is wrong and what can be done to fix it. There are a variety of reasons, be it jealousy of skill, transferring of anger, or just simply a sour disposition. As a flash artist you will have fans and you will have detractors. I hope you ignore the latter and focus on your art, because you have the capability of producing some amazing work in the future. Stay positive and don't let the words of the whiners and moaners even touch you.

hoim responds:

Thanks man... I appreciate what you said. I have a pretty thick skin, so I don't let negative reviews get me. I don't mind my work being critiqued, I just ignore the insults... that's what helps me to improve.

Episode 2 is in the works. I wasn't sure what to expect, but now that I know, I'm putting more effort in to the next episode to make the animation better and flow along better.

funny stuff....

this was really good both parts were really good I especially liked the wifey ~ like she reminded me of someone I that I have been close to most of my life hmmmm ;)

Great Flick ~ keep up the good work..... its AWESOME

More, please!

Watched both parts in a row. That was really something. I especally got a kick out of the Dukes of Hazard and A-Team gags. I hope you make this into an ongoing series. Newgrounds can always use more of things like this.

hoim responds:

Thanks man... we're workin' on Episode 2 right now. We got some good feedback and will be addressing some stuff to make episode 2 even better.

Nah, it ain't retarded

In fact, it's good. Very good art, and after watching part 1, the animation has gotten smoother and better. The sound is fitting and the cartoonish effects are hilarious. As for plot, maybe not the most original idea, but stereotypes are always funny.
