sentox

wow

that was a nice flash movie. yoy put some pretty hard effort into this movie. but the last guy was right the planes were not acurate. the jets back then in the cold war were one engine and the jets were the todays two engine and the us plane looked like a f-15/ f-22 raptor. and the russian planes looked like SU-35 flankers. But what the heck that was good. >D woot

Foxbat responds:

Thankyou, yes they were, The Cold War when from 1947 to 1991 and this Flash animation is about a hypothetical Cold war Scenario set late in the Cold War. and remember the first jet the first operational jet-powered fighter the Me 262 was twin engined, and a MiG-19 was also twin engined and it was from 1955 the early part of the Cold War. the US was a F-14 Tomcat which made it's first flight in 1970 and the Soviet aircraft was a Su-33 Flanker-D which made it's first flight in 1987. Anyway thanks.

very impressive

The work was awsome man. You put some 3D effects and all that and made a flash awsome!!! But one thing, Back in the mid 50's, the jets were not as advanced. that jet looked like a F15 that did no come out until Vietnam. The cold war's jets were more primitive then that just to let you know.

Foxbat responds:

Thanks, I didn't use any 3d effects. I know that but the Cold War was from 1947 to 1991 and Vietnam was in the Cold War. And the Aircraft is a F-14 Tomcat that entered service following the end of Vietnam so a few did combat patrols in the evacuation. And the Cold War was one of the driving forces in making Jets more advanced.

nice art

okay, the animation its self was not particularly impressive. however... the artwork is incredible, I really liked the attention to detail. Nice work, well done.

Foxbat responds:

Thanks

Canny Good

Seeing as it is actually called the 'Cold war' this dznt make much sense as no shots were fired by either side, thats where the name comes from. Still tho, an OK animation, and the missile that is fired is not a SAM missile, it is an air to air, it the long range missile carried by F14's, i think its called the pheonix. maybe not the right name but it is an air to air missile.

Foxbat responds:

Sorry I guess I should have told you in the description but it is a hypothetical Cold war Scenario, because they did come close to a World war but shots were fired. but inderect way thought other countrys like Greek Civil War, Korean War, Vietnam War and the Soviet-Afghan War, along with more peripheral conflicts in Angola, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. yep your right the first missile fired is a AIM-54 Phoenix missile and the second one is a AIM-7 Sparrow.
