I've finally found this game. I have been looking for this game for 3 years. I've searched from other flash game sites, and from this one, TO NO AVAIL. Then I find out the name recently, and it turns out, IT WAS ON THIS SITE THE WHOLE DAMN TIME!!!! To the creators and assitants and whoever else helped build this game, I hope that you are proud of this game and love it as much as I do.

Edit: Hey folks, I've just been reading the more recent reviews, and wanted to share my thoughts. First off, thanks to everyone for the enthusiasm and amazing feedback. It's really rewarding to come back and see that people are still playing this thing 3 years later.
For people complaining about length; it's a flash game. Flash as a platform just isn't intended for projects much bigger than this (as I'm learning with the sequel). Besides that, I produced this thing as a one-man team, mostly between 8th and 9th grade. I handled every aspect of the design, including writing an original soundtrack... I'm pretty happy with the length.
For basically every other complaint: I totally agree. I've been working on and off on a sequel for the last 3 years and I've been kind of a perfectionist about it. The combat system has undergone several revisions, as has the plot and many of the levels. I've spent a really absurd amount of time worrying about graphics and more interesting atmospheric effects. I don't know if the game is ever going to get finished, in a lot of ways I'm trying to move on to other things. But, I do think of it as my baby, and really want to see it get done.
Again, thanks for playing, and thank you for all the great feedback. It's very helpful, and it's incredibly gratifying.

Regarding the issues with saving: Make sure you have shared objects enabled. Also, be sure to actually click on the game you want to load in the load screen. My brother seems to think it's a little misleading
Finally, Sol: DAWN makes it to Newgrounds :) This game has taken almost 2 years total for me to make, so it's pretty darn big. Some of the later levels can get pretty difficult, so make sure you try and find some more powerful weapons than the one you start with. Some you can buy, but the best ones you have to find through trading quests.
One of my favorite features of this game is the real-time clock feature. Light, wind, and water based attacks will deal more damage during the day, while dark, fire, and earth based attacks deal more at night. Also, magic attacks work similarly to a game of rock paper scissors. Water does more damage to fire enemies, fire more to wind, wind more to earth, and so on. Make sure to keep that in mind while battling enemies.

Just finished the game today and I used to play this game back in the day when I was a young kid. So to begin the story you play as this character where you find these four sprits that give you spells that help you out in the game. When you collect them all you fight the final boss. You fight different enemies in the game like spiders, porcupines, dragonflies, fire monsters, plants, and so on. You fight different bosses in the game depending on how far you progress. You have 2 weapons you use in the game: the attack and spells. You do get items and most of them are pretty useful like fruits that give you hp, mana potions that give you magic points, items that give you health or mana but decrease your health or mana depending on the one you get, and others that give you both. The best spell in the game is the meteor since it does more damage and is easier to use. For 2 special spells, you have to press mash space to charge it for more power. Another has you using the wasd button to make it more powerful. There are 2 islands in the game and 2 places are the first area of the game and the last area where you fight the final boss. There are different areas you go to like the forest, mines, desert and so on. When you play this game you will get lost unless you talk to NPCs that give you hints on where you have to go or use the oracle that the girl in the first forest gives you which helped me out a lot. The music isn't that memorable but it's ok. When you are in the first village that you live in you should talk to the guy in the area in the house to do some errands for him that he requested and he'll give you a sword but I got rid of it for a different weapon on the second island. You do get money from enemies when you kill them which are random. You can use them for items, swords, and switching your clothes which isn't necessary unless you are sick of your outfit. You can customize your character in the game when you create him like giving him different eyes, and a different shirt, and coloring it, a beginner weapon that can give damage and magic damage depending on the one you use, and hairstyle. I did read this guy's review below me saying the visuals don't look good but for me, as a young kid I didn't care about graphics and when I look at it now I think it looks ok. It looks the same as other flash games I played back then. I mean I have seen worse graphics. I will play this guy's next game after this review and see how it is compared to this one to see If he or she has improved on the gameplay, visuals, and story compared to this one. Not the best flash RPG I played but as a kid, It was fun for me to play so I give this a 7 out of 10.
RPG themed flash. Graphics are below average and need more attention to detail. Gameplay suffers from being too short and a lack of clarity. If you included more weapons, more attacks, and made the game longer it could be top notch.
I still come back to this masterpiece every so often, this and Linion RPG. This was a great flash game and I am glad I got to experience it when I was a kid, still living with my parents during much simpler times.

This was a really good game you have here a very nice range of weapons and love the areas that you allowed it's really good quality and you put a lot of time in here I like all the enemies there was alot of them and that was pretty good as for improvments I'm. Not sure maybe some extra bonus levels and mini games would be a plus here
