A simple physics/orbital mechanics based game in which you rescue lost astronauts

My first venture into publicly releasing something that I have made onto the internet, I focused more on simple polish effects and good coding (minimap, etc) rather than actual gameplay because I wanted to test the metaphorical waters of flash development before spending a lot of time on a more complex game.

It is my first game in AS3, with graphics done by yours truly. I hope to blackmail a friend into doing graphics in the future. Music was done by my friend Aeron, and sounds came from various free-for-use sites.

The basis of the game is that you are a leaky rustbucket of a spaceship sent out to rescue lost astronauts, while avoiding the gravitational pull of nearby planets.

All in all, an extremely simple game.

Impossibles!!!!!!11!!11!!!1!1!1!

I suck at this game... I only got to the third level!
One thing yu should change is, yes I know theres no gravity, but during the turn of your ship, you should slow that down. I made turns but it went way longer and faster than a u turn and made me do a complete 360!
Good Job any way!
(I 5'd!)

Realistic lack of physics.

I love how a tiny push sends you flying.

The Controls

I liked it but the controls were very touchy and the planets were very small.

Good Idea, but needs work

The gravity isn't too great, and the physics as well needs work.

I think the physixs might be too realistic? Like how you keep moving in one direction when there is no atmosphere, and so you have to slowdown or turn and stop.
So I'd suggest making the thrusters make you move a certain distance when you push them, but include an automatic decelerator to make you slow down.

good concept

very good but the gravity want realistic. unless the planet is made of depleted uranium and lead it shouldnt have that effect.
