The way this was made it could be turned into a series, with the first half( one without the credits) as the opening and of course the "anime-style ending" as well the ending.

First this reminded me of elfen lied when it first started then when it got more into it it reminded me of chobits...
But i must say even if this seems like a copy of what we have already seen
It surely isn't and the animation isn't only the art.. of this piece the timing and the choice of music is as well....
Im a editor and you almost made me cry there at the end...
