Polar Games: Breakdown

This was a really old prototype that I never got around to finishing. I needed something quick to test a new UI system I was working on, so the prototype was resurrected and Polar Games: Breakdown is the result! The Puzzle Mode was always going to be the main focus, which might explain why the Score Mode just doesn't feel that sticky. The Daily Puzzle is actually my favorite bit of the game--all users get the same puzzle for that day, so it's easy to see how you compare on a day-to-day basis.

On the Score mode, I didn't want to make just another Collapse clone (the main feedback I've gotten so far is "Add timers!"). I wanted to make something a little more experiential/meditative, but the end result is that you lose that sort of "click frenzy" which defines the genre and it can get a little boring. Such is game design!
