Meh
I like the idea, it's a good starting point. It just kind of seems to lack any effort (even if that was the goal). Try a little harder to produce something in this style with a little more effort and you could have a top-notch side-scroller.

I can't get past the first jump, a glitch warps me to the start once I land.

It can be done, that "glitch" you speak of is hitting Patrick, a spike, therefore you lose 5 lifes and go back to the beginning.

No instructions, random deaths. Boo.
