Pointlessly leaving a comment (and one that isn't about r@pe) over 15 years later to say I adore this short! I first saw it on aniboom's YouTube channel when I was little, and I spent ages trying to find it. I'm so glad this isn't lost media. lol
I love the characters and their designs (the girl with her dyed emo/scene/whatever hair being my favorite), the jhonen vasq-esq art style, the mood, the color scripting(?) from the dark woods to the dimly lit cabin, the setup, the ironic twist (as much as I'd wanted her to live), the hokey, low-quality, yet charming voice acting from the girl and the cannibal (hector), and RedMongoose's strangely fitting soundtrack
It definitely could've been longer and more polished with FBF, but given the deadline for the contest, I'm not bothered. Too biased anyway lol
I wish I'd been around to see the wips on thebackalleys before the overhaul.
can't wait for the sequel, Bloody Mondae! :D
