Hi, my name is Margaret Poplin and I am a first time poster to Newgrounds. I am a professional illustrator and graphic designer living and working around Atlanta, Georgia. I created this animation of Twisp and Catsby based on characters owned by Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik. They are used without permission, without profit, as a tribute and portfolio piece. It was just a quick thing I put together under a tight turnaround time to send to them as a sample and as a fan. It's short but handles some of Flash's features (new and old) like IK bones, motion tweening, classic tweening, really basic 3.0 action script, etc. that I wanted to experiment with. Mostly I just wanted to play around with the characters. I really liked the original image and thought it would be really neat as a short Flash animation.

The music is "Glück Das Mir Verblieb" from "Die Tote Stadt" played by Sarah Chang. She's a pretty incredible musician. Her official website can be found at http://sarahchang.com. I also thought she deserved a link since I do not know her and used her music. I just thought it fit the scene really well.

This is absolutly an amazing animation. It brings the devil went down to georgia to my mind, the only thing its missing is charlie daniels playing on a fiddle. Margaret is an amazing artist and has a bright future. I checked out her other artwork at www.MargaretPoplin.com and I have to say I am absolutely impressed.

I am a loss for words, this was something wonderful, something new, something great, simple and also obscure and crazy. A story not being told but just being, if it was an animation it would be even better but for what its worth in my opinion I loved it and would love to see more work by you. Something that exceeds this work of art as tough as it may be, I hope you decide to put your original work on the site and hoping its more of the same style. Well Done.
