Fire and Water Tutorial

Author Comments

A short tutorial I wrote in about two days after discovering how to animate fire, and having discovered how to animate water a couple months prior. I simply had to share my tips with the rest of Newgrounds. It's very simple, but gets the point across.

Great Tutorial

The water section goes way to fast to read so you have to hit the stop button and go frame by frame

LOLOL DATS TEH POINT :D

Nice Tutorial.

Only thing I'd say is make the text at the ending about water not change as the animation goes, like you did with the fire.

Kwing responds:

I wanted the text to sync with the water animation, so you could get an idea of "this part is referring to this part". I -could- have listed the frames and said something like "frames 3-9 show this" but I think the way I did it is a bit better.

Really good tutorial!

The animation is really well done, and the tutorial is easy for anybody to understand. Props to this.

Also, fun fact, Moovlin PC uses these techniques for the intro!

Kwing responds:

Thanks :)
I tried to make it understandable.

good but last part to fast

it was a great tutorial the beginning was but then the water tutorial goes way to fast i had to stop just to read what the text was saying also good music

Kwing responds:

That's the point. You're supposed to stop it.

interesting

though not really that useful, i would say it is pretty useful for some one who is just learning.

Kwing responds:

I think the fire part is pretty informative.
