This is my first submission to newgrounds. I've been a member for years now, but have never submitted anything because only recently have I began to obtain knowledge in animation. I hope you will follow me through my progress and watch me grow :)
To those who may find the premise of this animation confusing, I had this idea in mind that Mario was once again about to rescue the princess. However, right before being defeated, Bowser kills the princess as an act of defiance against Mario, right before being defeated himself. Unfortunately for Bowser, love is a little more powerful than he knows :)

I like the animation and the story it told without much words. It was sad to see Peach's grave and Mario looking down in sadness. But I thought it was great. Only reason why I'm giving it a 9 and not a 10 is because you didn't happen to mention the song playing in the back ground, lol. I instantly recognized it from the final scene in Final Fantasy VII- Advent Children.

lol thanks for that review ^^! i actually forgot to mention the song. actually i got this song from the DNAngel OST. i've never seen advent children so if you heard this song in that movie then that's an interesting coincidence lol.

It gives a darker, deeper feeling to the Mario games. It's got everything a good flash should have: Smooth animation, a story, sound, and the lack of voice acting actually compliments the flash.
Well done.
Not perfect
Not technically perfect, but this animation has what all others should have.
Meaning.
I often see awesome animations around, with great video, music, sound effects... But just as often rate them 7 or 8.
So... imo, you did very well.
