Absolutely fire. I remember playing this in 2018, revisited now and it still holds up incredibely well. The sound design in particular I love.
You can really tell that the team had put in passion making this game. The character's voices just sound so good. The car's engine I really like too, nothing like starting at your last checkpoint and hearing it roar as you accelerate to mach-fuck in seconds.
The graphics honestly still hold up well too, despite all the years that have passed. Although it does have some rougher parts (such as the ATG missile and the back of the jet for example) they're quite nice to look at. The 2.5D style really complements the game, too.
The mechanics are the best part about this game though. They're simple, yet fun to mess around with. Going into oil makes it harder to steer and adds more easing to your motion (giving the illusion of the car being slippery), hitting zombies splatters blood onto your windshield (which you can wipe off of course), and my favourite? The "handbrake" (more like swerving). It's like turning, but you turn more and lose speed while doing it. It's probably the most useful feature if you dont plan on getting turned into a pinball and smashing into every car, mutant and HE missile thrown at you.
Overall? 4.5 stars. It does have a few bugs but some are just from newgrounds player I believe, and some parts of the game can feel a bit rough, such as hitboxes seeming a bit bigger than they are or civillians basically charging straight infront of you unless you use your horn. Non the less, great game.
