Kudos where kudos are due.
This series is among the truly original on Newgrounds, and you deserve recognition for this. Many of the greatest series, such as XIN, TTA, Paladin, and many others besides, were purely original works, and all have entertained, and in the best cases, touched the hearts and/or sparked the imaginations of many viewers. This looks to become one of these series.
Moving on to the actual review:
Aesthetics: 10/10. You have your own unique world and have successfully portrayed both it and your characters. (I don't use Graphics/Art, as drawing ability does NOT affect the quality of the story being told, except in extreme cases.)
Plot: 9/10. There is definitely an underlying story, and the jokes and shenanigans provide excellent comic relief in appropriate doses. However, (as you yourself have stated in the first line of your description(s)), the story is occasionally difficult to follow. If one pays attention, (and is willing to roll with it until the end of each episode), then this should not be a problem, but, as I'm sure we both know, many viewers just don't have the kind of patience/savvy necessary to truly appreciate something like this (although any true otaku will applaud the way you have masterfully (albeit blatantly) used anime/video game references in your work.
Voice Acting: 7/10. The voices are well done and express emotion fairly well (which is more than a fair few can say), but can occasionally be difficult to understand. This is not an issue, as there are subtitles, but if there were not, many parts would be nearly unintelligible (whether due to the low volume of the voices, or the slightly blurry recordings of them).
Animation: 9/10. It is clear what the characters are doing, and that's really all that matters for ratings up to 7 or 8/10. The fact that this is all (as far as I can tell) frame-by-frame, knocks it up by one more point, to 9/10 (not to say that tweened animation cannot get a 10/10, just look at Xombie). The only thing that kept you from earning a perfect score on this, was that some motions appeared slightly uneven or choppy (not that badly, but still noticeable). All-in-all, the animation is well done and still gets an A.
Sound: 7/10. Getting beyond the issues present with the voice acting, the balance of the Music, Sound Effects, and Voices is way off (what this means is that one class of sounds tends to be far louder/softer than others). The voices are soft, and the music tends to be loud, while the sound effects tend to be in the middle (which is where they should be).
Originality: 10/10. This is where your movies SHINE. (Thus the whole blurb at the beginning of this wall of text). You have created a world that is entirely your own, with characters that are clearly unique. And you did it WELL. Nothing more needs to be said. Just well done.
Overall: 10/10. As I said, well done. Continue to put the work and passion into your stories, and it WILL continue to shine through.
