Beat Level 7 5 Points

So you've figured out how the game works..

Make a level 5 Points

Get creative with the level editor

"Invest" 2 hours in the game 10 Points

All things in moderation. Especially breaks, don't want to overdo it with those.

Beat Level 13 10 Points

That's the easy part out of the way.

Beat Level 17 10 Points

That was the small-scale stuff. Literally.

Beat Level 24 25 Points

Onto the elite four! Spoiler: there's a fifth. I hated when that happened in the Pokemon games.

Beat Level 28 25 Points

Nearly there, two more to go! Hexagons probably aren't high up on your list of favorite shapes right now.

Complete HEXEP 50 Points

Nice!

(Best played in Chrome or - though the level editor lags - Firefox. Avoid with IE due to glitches, working on that)

A simple yet increasingly challenging puzzle game about lighting a path through hexagons.

Comes with a level editor for creating levels and sharing them through Newgrounds' new(ish) data API, and also some medals to unlock.

Use the mouse to light up unlit tiles (by rolling over them), with the brighter coloured tiles as starting points. Click to restart the level. Some tiles have different requirements, such as needing to be covered twice or in a particular order.

The idea was to make a puzzle game where the puzzle or challenge wasn't in failing to understand the mechanics or accidentally missing something. Many puzzle games (point and click, spot the difference games, sometimes the puzzle elements of RPGs etc) could be quite cheap I felt, so I tried to make the focus of this on understanding and mastering a fairly simple concept instead of overloading you with new, confusing stuff. That went quite well and the game does manage to get incredibly challenging. Also, you can switch the theme from the options menu for a change of atmosphere. Enjoy!

kinda hard

Nice nice nice. I was surprised to see that this hasn't been uploaded by the same guy who did Hex Rotate. Aren't you related somehow? Too reminiscent of one another to be coincidence! Or may be he was inspired by you, I see that yours is an earlier upload which surprised me a little as yours looks fancier and is much more elaborate. Anyways, great game. Looks great. I'm a little confused though by the rules on 'transporting' when there are several starting hexagons so I ended up with playing all those levels with the mouse clicked down continuously, so I'm having quite some cramps now, haha. Got through 1-17 fairly easy, but I'm stuck now on 18 and will be back later to bring all levels to their knees!

FAKK !!! it s 2 am in the morning oO ... ... ... AND IT S AAAAALL YOOOUR FAAAAAULT !!! :D

This is one of the most addicting puzzle games I've played in a long time! The nice colors and simple design of the game is great. I must say these can be quite challenging. Level 9 was very challenging, but I did get through it. 11 was excruciatingly difficult. I am stuck here still. I will come back and I will conquer level 11! Or just replay level 1-10.

A decent game, takes a lot of focus, certainly.
