A retro-inspired 2D Action RPG set in the distant future
This is only the demo of the full game currently in development!

Meet Lea as she logs into an futuristic MMO.

Follow her steps as she discovers a vast world, meets other players and overcomes all the challenges of the game.

Also: Lea can't speak. Nope, no heroic mime. She is actually mute.

The version here on Newgrounds is only a demo version.

The game is currently in development with a release planned in 2016. If you can't wait for new content you can consider getting CrossCode on Steam Early Access:

I first played this demo in 2015. I was a little confused as to what was going on but I thought the game was interesting. Then I forgot about it.

Eventually, nearly a decade later, in 2024, I saw it on Steam. And I thought, "Why not? If it's anything like the game I played so long ago, it must be alright."

I was wrong; It was spectacular.

Best RPG game I ever played in my whole life :D

It's really good, but for this version specifically, the character's sprite doesn't appear for me at all. Along with that the game crashed on me a couple times. With how much I played, I like it. Sadly, I couldn't get the full experience with it, but still.

I remember this game it was pretty good and you got rewarded so nice job it's a fun game great mechanics

~X~

slashing is a bit odd, it would be best if it was mapped to a swap button key or something like that, but everything else is fun enough, i guess.
