Music and battles are amazing. Awesome game.
Aki is pretty easy to defeat once you know what to do. I had to make him use his mana, until it drop to 10. Simultaneously, I just healed Alula and blocked Aki's attacks, to raise my mana and my HP. Once he was using Meelee against me, I spammed Blue Flames on him and, in the end, Meelee too. And I finished him with -93. I guess that he's not thaaaaat hard to defeat, but is a reasonable player.
Better battle system until now, but the art... I prefer the b&w Alula ;-;
And Aki's smile was pretty creepy wtf '-'
the heck ?!
this is starting to get interesting !
Story - Same complaints i had with the last one, characters have cheesy lines, are unlikeable and the stakes are far too low for anyone to care, they introduced aki, a character that will definetely tottaly not come back for revenge in any way at all, and has the exact same problem as sara: he is made to look like a psycho, but has way too many cheesy one liners to pull this off, the story keeps operating in anime clichés (i.e. main character lost his parents) and is generally not interesting
Animation - The animation has gotten worse, the black and white style of the last one (with the exception of the blood, that was shiny red, creating a very good contrast) has been replaced for a more colorfull tone, that ruins the last's contrast and shows more design flaws than it was supposed to
Gameplay - The gameplay was the only thing that got better, the fight system actually means something and it is actually challenging, kudos to you 08jackt
Fun - It made sense that the last game was not so fun, being the first instalment you had to introduce the world, characters, gameplay, etcetera... but this one has no reason to be boring, and while it is not sooooo boring, it can lack some entertainment at some times
Final Rating: 2.5 Keemstar out of 5
Although the art could use some work, I did actually enjoy the stories and battles. Though the last battle was really hard! He does so much damage it's frustrating, it wasn't until that I figured out that I had to drain his mana until I finally beat him. XD I hope Alula doesn't change because of Death's game.
