Nailed it. You must be a college student, because that joke was founded on information that nobody really retains.

Or maybe you're like a historian, who DOES retain it, and have to watch everybody around them dick everything up the same way they did a hundred years ago.

Either way, good short.

cute, short, no glitches. Nice work.
It didn't feel 'paradox-y' in the most modern sense, but was still within that realm.

I don't get how in the world this is a paradox, it's more of a sketch where a character does something but is disgruntled by something he can't control. What I mean is that there are no premises that contradict themselves and a final product that negates both premises and at the same time affirms both. We got A; man throws bottle in trashcan, B; trashcan spits anything that's thrown into it, and finally C; Trashcan becomes eldritch black hole of destruction. It sounds like a cause and effect relationship rather than a paradox...

CubePunks responds:

Paradox- "a seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement or proposition that when investigated or explained may prove to be well founded or true."

The best example is: "Not being able to drink water out of the ocean" This sounds contradictory because "You're surrounded by water, so why can't you drink it"? But when explaining the other factors such as the salt, it leads to the logical "why"

A paradox is *not* a contradiction, but rather a seemingly absurd premise with a logical conclusion.

Now i'm hoping that this doesn't happen to any janitors now

this is really good, this deserves to be on the front page!

CubePunks responds:

Guess what? It DID!!
