Time doesn't reset after going to the shop; it starts with the ending sequence. It looks like it has the making for a fun game, though.

The Grim Reaper is looking to get some overtime in his soul collecting and what better time to collect souls then on Halloween? Slash your way through hundreds of ghosts to collect souls and spend those souls to collect more souls! It's a soulapalooza on Halloween tonight!
