I think about this way too often.

Living in a world where each bread crumb had consciousness and feelings would be a nightmare from moral perspective. I like the animation and the artistry of this video, but the concept is not something I like. It's like the old problem about what can children book and cartoon predator animals eat if all the herbivore animals have human consciousness. Only this time the problem is raised to raised to exponential degree.
