Defeat in detail is a series of techniques and strategies that allow smaller forces to meet much larger armies in battle and win. This video talks about a few of these tactics as well as some of the most famous generals who've used these techniques in the past including Napoleon, Stonewall Jackson, and Alexander The Great.
Defeat in detail can also be described as divide and conquer. A good way to execute defeat in detail is to divide your forces and once your opponent matches your maneuver, regroup and attack. Napoleon, in particular, was a master of this technique and he frequently used it to fight enemies who hideously outnumbered him.
This technique was later used on a tactical level by the luftwaffe, who through the use of their radar network could pick and choose tactically advantageous fights despite being hideously outnumbered by the allies.

Information is derived from a number of historical sources including websites, historians, and literature. The fog of history is a real thing, even relatively recent events often have sources in disagreement or relying on one another. When possible information is derived from first-hand sources and where not possible information is found by taking multiple second-hand sources. It is not possible for anyone to guarantee perfect historical accuracy, but I do my absolute best to ensure that all information in my videos is well sourced and backed up by historical sources and evidence.

Hey this was very interesting. Pretty simple style, straightforward narration.
It does the job, I've never heard of this strategy before.
Thanks.
