Very satisfying game! The controls are fluid and the concept while simple is pretty fun! Only problem I have is the way the ball follows you being rather a bit slow.
Trail Smash is a simple highscore-based mouse-only arcade game.
Move the mouse to lead your dot. Smash into bubbles at the right speed to rack up points and set scores in 3 different modes, but be careful not to touch any of the spike balls.
The dot changes color depending on your speed. Moving slowly will make your dot white, while being fast makes it red.
Red Bubbles can be hit while red. You get more points the harder you hit it.
White Bubbles need to be poked as softly as possible.
Blue Bubbles need to be hit multiple times while red.
Red Spikes can get you stuck in them. Pull your mouse away from them to get free.
Yellow Spikes kill you instantly.
There are also 3 different gameplay modes you can choose from. You start with only one but you will unlock them quite quickly by just playing the game!
In Marathon you have to survive as long as possible while your life bar is draining with every second. You can refill it by hitting a bubble. How long can you keep up?
In 30 Seconds you have to get as many points as you can in a time of 30 Seconds while not dying.
In Racer you have to hit bubbles while they're falling down the screen. They get faster and faster, so reaction times are the key to success!
As always, feedback and encouragement is greatly appreciated! Have fun!

Pretty neat game! For a simple game, it had a good, explosive feel to it, and it was fun to go for a high score, especially when you hear the score tick upwards at the end. A little confusing to figure out how the game works since it doesn't give many hints in the game (and some of the colors are a bit un-intuitive, such as why there needs to be red and yellow spikes, and odd that red aren't the insta-kill variety), and I dunno if you have to lock away the modes at the start. Once you get going though, it's fun!
Nice game, nice song, nice art. But the bubbles take a little long to pop, kinda breaking the immersion.
Not to discredit the pixel aesthetic, but this game is quite boring and uninspired.
EDIT: All the game is is that you need to get the mouse to the bubble at the right color, all while avoiding spikes - which present no challenge whatsoever due to how they present a nonexistent threat by not moving. This game is just "get as much points as possible by moving the mouse here at the right time and be careful not to accidentally twitch yourself to a game over".
Could you please be more specific? Can you tell me what makes this game boring and uninspired so I can use that knowledge for future games. :)
Ive noticed that the games that ive enjoyed the most on NG are the ones that requires just one hand to play. Ive never played something that actually focused on mouse acceleration, so nice work!
