Glinty Grotto is coated in wondrous gemstones that would make a grown Sableye weep. However, I doubt there's going to be even ONE Sableye in there...

The last Bit did nicely on most platforms, so I continued. As I've said in there, it's an interesting feeling to bring up concepts I left aside for nearly a decade and reboot it. There's always something to be said about measuring up NOT with other people, but with your self from the past. Though a little outward competition never hurt anyone, except for the times that it did.

This Bit is heavily focused on the backgrounds, which I've done in a more Samurai Jack style this time. I was finishing up my shot for the El Dorado Redialed collab (I'll be holding my part until the collab releases), and I was still on a kick of painting in that style. I want the art style for these Pokemon Bits to be more angular to somewhat emulate the angular feeling of the N64 games-- so that painting style seems to suit it just fine.

One change this Bit brought was the addition of a Braixen character. She was supposed to be a one-shot for this Bit alone, but the design turned out so nice, I was already getting thoughts on future Bits with her and her relationship with Sandslash... and I may or may not be crushin' on her.

This Bit was initially outlined at the start of 2024, and was supposed to end with Sandslash simply slamming Sableye back into the wall. But this was an opportunity to display Sandslash's protective nature when it comes to those weaker than him, as well as Sableye adoring his strength. They're the main focuses of these, after all. Wouldn't want to spill too much here, but there's things to come...
