Santa is at wit's end. Life is very long. This world is not what it once was. The Christmas spirit is lost. The polar manufacturers have too many smokestacks producing toys that get thrown out on boxing day. His belly overhangs, Mrs. Claus is like a business partner, Rudolph's nose doesn't glow so bright.
Santa takes a solemn stroll in the snows of solitude. He can't believe his own eyes when he sees what happens next.

The real game lies after you have a firm grasp on the movement, and you are able to explore and find all sorts of surprises. The platforming + candy canes is honestly a cheap excuse for gameplay, the true gameplay is 'exploration.
The medals indicate a bit of what to work towards, and the hidden ones unlock fairly naturally as you come across some surprises.

keep receiving WebGL context lost, please reload the page keeps happening if you play hard mode to collect candies, which makes collecting 500 candies impossible, typing spufo also won't get you the medal at all.

Very promising for a brand new release! A bug or two at the start as I tried to load it, but eventually got in. This game is deceptively simple. Simple, but definitely not easy by any stretch.
A word to the wise: you can triple jump, and holding the button makes you jump higher. I didn't see that in the controls page, but I am dumb, so I may have just missed it.
It is surprisingly difficult, but almost in a "Getting Over It" kind of way. I'm looking forward to future updates.

Thanks for the review! It is probably my oversight that the jump mechanic is not explained thoroughly in the controls. It is definitely tricky to get a hold of, and the game draws some inspiration from Getting Over It.
The platforming takes a bit of Super Meat Boy experience to handle without error, but the real game lies after you have a firm grasp on the movement, and you are able to explore and find all sorts of surprises. Let me know if you end up playing more and get more success, also the candycanes are mostly a distraction, do your best to keep moving up and away from the ice. If you want to see some more of what the game has to offer without the tedious in-between of escaping the ice, try typing "cdhell" or "spufo".
I have a full game planned for the future after I do some other projects, and it is expected to have an actual real enjoyable gameplay loop. This is really just a demo of my skills and setting up a world, the gameplay was really cheated in this, and I don't expect most people to see past that at first glance, and spend the necessary 20 minutes to crack through the shell and see the goods. Perhaps a lot of what makes this more similar to Getting Over It. That's why I added cheat codes haha
